Paint the Farm Animal

Print these animal images. Place one in a gallon-sized plastic bag. Put a few dots of paint in the middle. Close the bag. Let baby hit the bag which will spread the colors. They might enjoy the squishy feel as well.

Songs

Songs are a great way to immerse your baby in language. The classic Old Macdonald is the perfect song for this unit. Here are some printable farm animals to go along with the song. Cut them out, glue them on cardboard, and make stick figure puppets.

Nontoxic Playdough

Check out this recipe and easy how-to video for some quick, cheap, and simple homemade playdough. Use it to push animal stamps into, make animal footprints, and mold into animals that your baby can squish. Do not leave your baby unattended with this as it is not recommended they eat it.
