Rocks

Radical Rocks Unit

This Pre-k geology unit will rock your world! Let's explore the Earth from the tiniest pebble to the largest boulder with free reading and educational resources. Learn about all sorts of gems and stones with our rock alphabet. Read about Stonehenge and Ayer's rock as your learner sorts famous rocks from the rubble. Cobble together different R words as students practice phonics. From books, videos, songs, worksheets, crafts and trip ideas you don't have to dig far to find the stepping stones your little geologist needs for a wonderful adventure. Resources are easily compatible with Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, and any other Piagetian program.

Some materials come straight from the Earth, others we have to manufacture. Help your learner learn the difference between natural and man-made materials. They will also practice counting and color words.
